Linear variable differential transformer DET200A

Short Description:

The linear variable differential transformer DET200A is a high-precision, high-reliability displacement sensor designed for stroke measurement of steam turbine actuators. Based on the principle of differential inductance, it can linearly convert mechanical displacement into electrical signal output and is widely used in precision control systems in the fields of power, petrochemicals, metallurgy, etc. The sensor has the characteristics of simple structure, strong anti-interference ability, and good long-term stability, making it a core component for monitoring the valve opening of steam turbines and the stroke of actuators.

Working principle

The core technology of linear variable differential transformer DET200A is based on the principle of differential transformer:

1. Structural composition: The sensor consists of a primary coil, two symmetrically distributed secondary coils, and a movable iron core. High-frequency alternating current (usually 1kHz~1.5kHz) is passed into the primary coil to generate an alternating magnetic field.

2. Displacement detection: When the iron core moves axially with the object to be measured (such as the piston of the actuator), the magnetic flux distribution of the secondary coil changes accordingly, resulting in a difference in the induced electromotive force of the two coils. When the core is close to the secondary coil on one side, the output voltage of the coil increases, while that on the other side decreases, forming a differential voltage.

3. Signal output: The differential voltage is linearly related to the displacement of the core. After being processed by the signal conditioning circuit (such as filtering and amplification), a standard analog signal (such as 4-20mA, 0-10V) or a digital signal (such as RS485) is output for real-time monitoring by the control system.

Technical parameters

The key technical indicators of DET200A are as follows:

- Range: 0~200mm.

- Linearity: ±0.05%~0.5% (within the full range), high precision is achieved by optimizing the number of coil turns and core length.

- Sensitivity: 2.8~230mV/V/mm, to meet the needs of different working conditions.

- Excitation voltage/frequency: 5~20Vrms AC excitation, frequency range 400Hz~10kHz (typical value is 1kHz or 1.5kHz).

- Operating temperature: -55℃~+180℃, suitable for extreme industrial environments.

- Output signal: supports three-wire analog output, compatible with PLC, DCS and other control systems.

Product features

1. High precision and reliability: using metal film material and anti-interference design, the repeatability is up to 0.1%, no drift in long-term use, ensuring measurement stability.

2. Wide dynamic response: small time constant, dynamic frequency up to 200Hz, suitable for fast-changing displacement monitoring.

3. Strong environmental adaptability: fully sealed structure design, high protection level, can work stably under harsh conditions such as high temperature, high humidity, vibration, etc.

4. Convenient installation and maintenance: supports M6/M8 thread installation and aviation socket outlet mode, and the integrated armored design reduces the complexity of on-site wiring.

Application

Linear variable differential transformer DET200A is mainly used in the following scenarios:

- Steam turbine control: monitor key parameters such as actuator stroke, cylinder expansion, valve opening, etc. to ensure the safe operation of the unit.

- Industrial Automation: used for closed-loop control systems such as hydraulic cylinder positioning and robot arm displacement feedback.

- Energy and heavy industry: monitoring of rotating machinery in thermal power, nuclear power, and hydropower stations, as well as displacement detection of steel and chemical equipment.
