LVDT sensor 10000TDGNK is a high-precision linear variable differential transformer (Linear Variable Differential Transformer) sensor designed for displacement measurement of steam turbine actuator in power plant. It is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction and realizes non-contact displacement measurement through the linear relationship between the displacement of the iron core and the voltage difference of the secondary coil. It shows excellent stability and reliability in the high temperature, high pressure and strong vibration power plant environment.
LVDT sensor 10000TDGNK consists of a primary coil, a symmetrically distributed secondary coil and a movable iron core. When an AC excitation voltage (typical value 3Vrms, frequency 2.5kHz) is passed through the primary coil, an alternating magnetic field is generated. The iron core moves axially in the coil with the displacement of the actuator, causing the induced voltage difference of the secondary coil to change. The demodulation circuit converts the AC signal into a DC output to achieve accurate measurement of the displacement. Its non-contact design avoids mechanical wear, has an unlimited theoretical life, and a resolution of up to micron level.
Technical parameters and performance advantages
1. High precision and wide range
The sensor covers a range of 0~800mm, with a linearity error of ≤0.25% F·S and a repeatability of ≤0.1μm, meeting the full range monitoring requirements of steam turbine actuators from small adjustments to large strokes.
2. Environmental adaptability
It adopts a stainless steel shell (IP68 protection grade) and high-temperature epoxy resin encapsulation, with an operating temperature range of -40℃~+210℃ (short-term tolerance of +250℃), and a vibration tolerance of 20g (frequency up to 2kHz), which is suitable for harsh working conditions of high temperature, high humidity and strong vibration in power plants.
3. Anti-interference ability
The built-in magnetic shielding layer and six-wire design (separation of excitation line and signal line) effectively suppress electromagnetic interference, ensure stable signal transmission, and error drift ≤0.03% F·S/℃.
In the control system of steam turbine actuators, the LVDT sensor 10000TDGNK provides key feedback signals for the speed control system by monitoring the displacement of the actuator piston in real time:
- Precise control of valve opening: Dynamically adjust the steam flow according to load demand to ensure stable unit output power.
- Safety protection: Excessive displacement triggers alarms or shutdown commands to prevent mechanical overload from damaging equipment.
- Status diagnosis: Long-term displacement data recording helps predictive maintenance and reduces the risk of unplanned downtime.
Installation and maintenance features
- Convenient integration: Standard stainless steel sheath hose and aviation plug (optional), support direct lead or remote transmitter connection, compatible with mainstream control system interfaces.
- Long life and maintenance-free: The non-contact structure avoids wear, and the vacuum impregnation process ensures the long-term reliability of the coil, with a mean time between failures (MTBF) of more than 100,000 hours.
The LVDT sensor 10000TDGNK has become a core component for displacement monitoring of steam turbine actuators in power plants with its high precision, strong environmental adaptability and low maintenance cost. Its technical indicators are equivalent to those of imported products, which can significantly improve the control accuracy and operational safety of the unit, and help power plants achieve efficient and intelligent operation and maintenance.
