The magnetoresistive speed sensor CS-1 is a commonly used sensor for measuring the speed of rotating equipment. It is an essential sensor for monitoring the speed of the steam turbine unit, which monitors and transmits the speed signal to the control instrument DF9011, thereby achieving real-time monitoring and control of the steam turbine. By measuring and monitoring the rotational speed, abnormal steam turbine rotational speed can be detected in a timely manner, and measures can be taken to avoid accidents or mechanical failures. At the same time, the speed probe can also be used to record and analyze the operating status of the steam turbine, providing data support for subsequent maintenance and troubleshooting.
The Yoyik® speed sensor CS-1 uses the magnetoresistive effect to measure speed. According to the different measured resistance values, it is divided into high resistance type and low resistance type sensors. When the measured equipment rotates, the magnetoresistive layer of the magnetoresistive element will be affected by the rotating magnetic field, resulting in the change of the resistance value of the magnetoresistive layer, and the output signal is proportional to the speed. Select speed sensors with different resistance values based on the target speed to be measured.
When you have selected the type of CS-1 sensor from Yoyik, you can follow the following steps to install it:
1. Determine installation position: Select a suitable installation position, usually on the rotor axis, and ensure that the speed sensor CS-1 can directly contact the rotor surface. At the same time, collision with other components should be avoided.
2. Clean the installation location: Use a cleaning cloth or non-woven fabric to clean the installation location, ensuring that the surface is dry and free of impurities such as dust and oil.
3. Fixed installation bracket: The installation bracket of the speed sensor should be fixed and reliable, usually fixed with bolts and washers to the bracket or casing on the steam turbine.
4. Install the speed probe: Fix the speed sensor on the mounting bracket and connect the junction box to the probe to ensure a stable connection.
5. Connecting the signal line: Connect the signal line of the speed probe to the measurement or control system and check if the connection is secure.
6. Debugging: After installation is completed, it is necessary to debug, calibrate the zero and gain of the probe, and test whether the output signal of the probe is correct.
7. Fixed wiring harness: After debugging, it is necessary to fix the wiring harness properly to avoid loosening or poor contact caused by vibration and other factors.
Attention: When installing the speed probe, the relevant requirements and standards of the steam turbine manufacturer should be followed to ensure correct, stable, and reliable installation. At the same time, attention should be paid to safety during the installation process to prevent accidents from occurring.
If the output signal of your speed sensor CS-1 is not within the expected range after installation, adjust the position or gap of the probe to improve signal quality. Verify that the adjusted probe is working properly by rechecking the output signal and comparing it with the expected signal.
