1. Coordination of filter element replacement strategy and oil maintenance plan

First, the oil should be tested regularly for physical and chemical indicators, including acid value, resistivity, moisture content, etc., to evaluate the aging degree of the oil. At the same time, monitor the change of the pressure difference before and after the filter element. When the pressure difference reaches the maximum value recommended by the manufacturer, it indicates that the filter element is saturated and needs to be replaced. These data should be combined with the oil maintenance plan to arrange the replacement of the oil or filter element in a timely manner.

 

Filter element replacement should not be carried out in isolation, but should be matched with the regular replacement or purification treatment cycle of the oil. For example, if the oil is planned to be replaced during an overhaul every two years, the filter element replacement can be arranged before or during the overhaul to ensure that there is a brand new filter element in the system after the new oil is injected to ensure cleanliness.

 

Dynamically adjust the filter replacement cycle according to operating conditions, oil quality reports and historical maintenance data. If it is found that the oil aging is accelerated or the external pollutants increase, the filter should be replaced in time even if the scheduled replacement cycle has not been reached to reduce the burden on the oil and delay the aging of the oil.

2. Evaluate oil aging through filter element pollutants

Pollution type analysis: Collect pollutant samples from the replaced filter element and conduct microscopic analysis, such as particle counting and element analysis. The type (metal chips, rubber chips, dust, etc.) and size distribution of particulate matter can indirectly reflect the internal wear of the system and the degree of intrusion of external pollutants, thereby evaluating the physical and chemical erosion of the oil.

 

Quantification of pollutant quantity: By comparing the accumulation of pollutants in the replacement filter element in different cycles, it can be judged whether the oil aging rate has increased. A significant increase in the amount of pollutants, especially the increase in viscous substances or colloidal precipitation, is often a signal of increased oil oxidation, additive consumption or hydrolysis reaction.

 

Trend analysis and prediction: Long-term tracking and recording of the analysis results of filter element pollutants, and establishing a correlation model between oil aging and filter element pollution. Using these data, the aging trend of oil products can be predicted, providing a basis for formulating more accurate maintenance strategies.
