Automatic Control and Regular Inspection of Floating Ball Drain Valve PY-40

The float type oil drain valve PY-40 is a device specially designed for the liquid level control of the generator sealed oil tank. Its core is to use the position change of the float to automatically adjust the oil discharge volume of the oil tank, so as to maintain the oil level within the predetermined safety range and avoid equipment failure caused by oil overflow or too low oil level.

The float is installed inside the oil tank and connected to the control mechanism of the oil drain valve through a connecting rod. When the oil level in the tank rises, the float rises with it, driving the connecting rod to move. The movement of the connecting rod will act on the valve disc of the oil drain valve. When the oil level reaches the set upper limit, the displacement of the connecting rod will open the valve disc, allowing the oil to be discharged from the oil tank until the oil level drops to the set lower limit. At this time, the float drops, the connecting rod moves in the opposite direction, closes the oil drain valve, and stops draining oil.

 

In order to ensure the reliable operation of the float type oil drain valve PY-40, regular inspection is essential. The following are some key parts to check:

Float and connecting rod: Check whether the float floats freely, whether the connecting rod is flexible and not stuck, and ensure that the connection between the two is firm and not rusted or corroded.

Valve disc and valve seat: Check the sealing of the valve disc and valve seat, confirm that there is no wear or deformation, and prevent leakage caused by poor sealing.

Hydraulic amplification mechanism: For valves with hydraulic amplification, check whether its internal mechanism is clean, whether the hydraulic oil is sufficient and free of pollution, and ensure the normal operation of the hydraulic system.

Conical needle plug and seal: Check the wear of the conical needle plug and whether the related seals are intact to prevent leakage caused by wear or aging.

Oil drain pipe and interface: Check whether the oil drain pipe is blocked and whether the interface with the oil tank is well sealed to prevent oil leakage during the oil drain process.
