To check if the LVDT displacement sensor is damaged, Yoyik has a suggestion of the following steps. We can take HL-6-250-15 displacement sensor as an example to introduce the way to check if your lvdt sensor is damaged.
Check signal changes:
Firstly, observe whether there are abnormal changes in the signal output of the displacement sensor HL-6-250-15. Under normal circumstances, the sensor should be able to generate corresponding signal changes as the valve displacement changes. If there is no significant change in the signal output of the sensor, or there is a sudden discontinuous change, it may be a malfunction of the sensor.
Check physical connection:
Check if the physical connection between the displacement sensor HL-6-250-15 and the valve is normal. Ensure that the connection between the sensor and the valve is not loose, broken, or otherwise physically damaged.
Test circuit connection:
Use a multimeter or oscilloscope or other testing instruments to check if the circuit connection of the sensor HL-6-250-15 is normal. Measure the input and output signals of the sensor to ensure they are within the normal range. If the signal is unstable or missing, there may be a problem with the sensor circuit.
Compare reference values:
If possible, sensors can be calibrated using known reference values or standard displacements. Move the valve to a known position and compare it with the displacement value output by the sensor. If there is a significant difference between the output value of the sensor and the expected value, it may be necessary to repair or replace the sensor.
