There are over a hundred types of filter elements used in power plant steam turbines. Due to the different uses and working environments of filter elements, they may encounter various problems, such as the most common and serious one: filter element collapse. Yoyik will now introduce to you how to handle correctly if the filter element crashes.
If the EH oil filter element collapses, it may cause obstruction of oil flow or contamination of the oil circuit, thereby affecting the normal operation of the equipment. We take a commonly used filter element as an example: the circulating oil pump filter element OF3-08-3RV-10, to explain the methods for dealing with filter element collapse.
1. Stop the machine to replace the filter element: If the filter element is found to be broken, it is recommended to stop the machine immediately to replace the filter element. This can prevent the residue of the filter element from continuing to enter the oil circuit, causing more serious damage.
2. Cleaning the oil circuit: If the filter element crashes and causes oil circuit pollution, it is necessary to clean the oil circuit. By introducing cleaning agents and filters, impurities and dirt in the oil circuit can be removed and the normal working state of the oil circuit can be restored.
3. Check the oil circuit: After replacing the filter element, it is also necessary to check if there are any other problems in the oil circuit. For example, whether there are pipeline blockages or sediment blockages, leaks or wear, etc., it is necessary to handle them in a timely manner to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
4. Strengthen maintenance: The service life of the fire resistant fuel filter element is limited and needs to be replaced regularly. Strengthening the maintenance and repair of equipment can avoid the occurrence of filter element collapse due to prolonged failure to replace the filter element.
The replacement cycle of the circulating oil pump filter element OF3-08-3RV-10 needs to be determined based on specific usage conditions. It is generally recommended to flexibly adjust the replacement cycle according to the following factors:
1. Pressure difference: After using the filter element for a period of time, the pressure difference will gradually increase. If the pressure difference is too high, it indicates that the filter element has reached the time for replacement.
2. Usage time: It is generally recommended to replace the filter element regularly, and the usage time is generally around 6 months to 1 year.
3. Operating environment: If the operating environment of the steam turbine is harsh, such as high levels of gum and particulate matter, the replacement cycle of the filter element may need to be shortened.
Meanwhile, Yoyik suggests that in daily operation, attention should be paid to the quality of the filter element and proper maintenance. This not only prevents the filter element from collapsing, but also prevents oil pollution and better protects system safety.
