Hydrogen adsorbent XQS-DA is a core adsorption material dedicated to hydrogen-cooled generator sets. It is mainly integrated in adsorption hydrogen dryers to efficiently remove water vapor in hydrogen and ensure that the dryness of hydrogen in the generator meets the operating standards. This product reduces the dew point temperature of hydrogen through the principle of physical adsorption to prevent equipment corrosion and insulation performance degradation caused by excessive humidity. It is widely used in hydrogen-cooled generator sets in large-scale thermal power generation, nuclear power and other fields.

1. High-performance adsorption material

Hydrogen adsorbent XQS-DA uses activated alumina with a high specific surface area as the adsorption matrix, which has strong adsorption capacity and chemical stability. It has high selectivity for water molecules and does not react with hydrogen during the adsorption process, ensuring that the purity of hydrogen is not affected. The adsorbent is neutral and non-toxic, meeting industrial safety and environmental protection requirements.

 

2. Renewable cycle design

After saturation, the adsorbent can restore its performance through electric heating regeneration technology. During the regeneration process, the built-in heating element heats the adsorption tower to the set temperature to release the adsorbed water. At the same time, the hydrogen cycle is used to carry the evaporated water vapor to the condensation system, and then discharged from the system through the steam-water separation and automatic drainage device. The regeneration cycle is usually 8 hours, which runs alternately with the adsorption cycle to support continuous drying operations.

 

3. Integrated system adaptability

Hydrogen adsorbent XQS-DA is compatible with a hydrogen drying device with a double-tower structure. The two towers alternately perform adsorption and regeneration functions to ensure an uninterrupted drying process. The system has a built-in circulating fan to maintain gas flow when the hydrogen flow is insufficient or the system is shut down to ensure adsorption efficiency. It is also equipped with an oil filter to pre-remove oil mist and particulate matter in the hydrogen to extend the service life of the adsorbent.

 

Technical advantages

- Efficient dew point control: The hydrogen dew point temperature can be reduced to below -40°C (when the inlet dew point is 20°C), effectively preventing stress corrosion of the rotor guard ring and insulation failure of the stator coil.

- Long life and low cost: The adsorbent has stable performance after repeated regeneration, and its service life can reach more than 3 years, reducing the replacement frequency and operation and maintenance costs.

- Safe and reliable: The drying tower and pipelines are made of stainless steel with a pressure resistance of 1.0 MPa, which is suitable for the working pressure range of 0.03~0.8 MPa of the hydrogen system, and has passed the explosion-proof certification (ExPzⅡCT6), meeting high safety requirements.

 

Hydrogen adsorbent XQS-DA is mainly suitable for 200~1000MW hydrogen-cooled generator sets, especially for water-hydrogen-hydrogen-cooled generators (such as THDF125/67 and other models). It is deployed in the hydrogen drying system to ensure the dryness of the hydrogen medium and maintain the efficient and stable operation of the unit. Its design meets the stringent working conditions of high-end power generation equipment such as ultra-supercritical units, and is a key component to improve the reliability and life of the generator.
