The rotation speed sensor CS-1 (also known as magnetoresistive or magnetoresistive speed sensor) is a commonly used speed sensor with high cost-effectiveness and wide applications. It is widely used in low-cost consumer product industries, power plants, high-precision speed measurement and control of aircraft engines, and other fields.

There is a significant difference between CS-1 sensors and other models of speed sensors, which is that CS-1 sensors are divided into high resistance and low resistance types based on different resistance values. The two types of CS-1 have different application scenarios. Yoyik will introduce about one type of them: the high resistance type.

When the DC resistance of the speed sensor CS-1 is between 470 Ω and 530 Ω, it is a high resistance sensor. When choosing a CS-1 sensor, it is also easy to tell from the model number whether the sensor is high resistance or low resistance. Taking the CS-1 G-065-03-01-K speed sensor as an example, the letter G in the model indicates that it is a high resistance type. If it is the letter D, it indicates that it is of low resistance type.

According to the principle of electromagnetic induction, the amplitude of the AC voltage signal generated by the sensor is proportional to the speed at which the teeth pass. The more teeth the gear has, the faster the speed, and the greater the signal amplitude, so the signal amplitude is very small at low speeds. But when the speed is very high, the weakening magnetic field effect of the coil also increases, which actually leads to a decrease in signal amplitude. So speed sensors are usually used for measuring speed signals with frequencies ranging from 20 to 10KHz.
