In this context, fluororubber (FKM) has become the first choice for sealing kit materials due to its excellent oil resistance, high temperature resistance and wide range of chemical resistance. Its chemical structure enables it to effectively prevent penetration and chemical erosion under long-term contact with fire-resistant oils, ensuring the long-term effectiveness of the seal. In addition, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) reinforced composite materials also show their unique advantages in certain specific applications, especially their excellent wear resistance and low friction coefficient. When used with fire-resistant oils, they can significantly improve the reliability and life of dynamic seals.

Although ethylene propylene rubber (EPDM) may not be the first choice in applications with direct contact with fire-resistant oils, its good elasticity, weather resistance and resistance to hydrolysis in low temperature environments make it still valuable in auxiliary seals or under specific conditions. At the same time, the introduction of high-performance engineering plastics such as polyetheretherketone (PEEK), with its high strength, high heat resistance and excellent dimensional stability, provides solid structural support for sealing components and enhances overall durability.

 

In addition to the performance of the material itself, long-term performance considerations are equally important. This includes but is not limited to material aging and durability research. By simulating accelerated aging experiments under actual working conditions, the attenuation of sealing performance is controlled to the minimum in long-term use. Compatibility testing ensures that there will be no adverse chemical reactions between the material and the fire-resistant oil to avoid pollution or corrosion problems. The design pursues easy maintenance to reduce the time and cost required to replace seals. At the same time, through the dual optimization of materials and design, the maintenance cycle is extended as much as possible. In addition, with the increasing global attention to environmental protection, the recyclability and environmental impact of materials have also become important considerations.
