The position sensor 6000TD is a high-precision sensor that typically adopts a non-contact measurement principle and has advantages such as long lifespan, high accuracy, and low wear resistance. However, if used for a long time, wear or failure may occur. Wear may lead to a decrease in measurement accuracy or measurement failure.
If it is only slight surface wear, cleaning and lubrication can be used for repair. The repair steps are as follows:
- Dismantle the sensor, inspect the contact part of the measuring mechanism, and observe for signs of wear or corrosion.
- Clean the measuring mechanism of the sensor with a cleaning agent or a specialized cleaning solution to ensure that it is clean and does not leave any stains or residues.
- For sensors with light wear, repair can be carried out by applying lubricant. Apply lubricant evenly to the contact part of the measuring mechanism, and then repeatedly swing gently to allow the lubricant to penetrate into the small gaps on the surface, achieving lubrication effect.
For LVDT position sensors with severe wear and tear, it is recommended to replace them with brand new 6000TD sensor to avoid problems such as decreased measurement accuracy or failure.
