Speed probe DF6101-000-065-01-05-00-00 is a speed probe designed based on the principle of magnetoelectric induction, dedicated to turbine speed measurement. Its core function is to convert the speed of rotating machinery into electrical signal output. It is widely used in power plants, petrochemicals and other fields, and is a key sensor to ensure the safe operation of equipment.
Working principle
DF6101-000-065-01-05-00-00 is a magnetoresistive speed sensor that does not require external power supply (passive type) and measures speed by detecting the magnetic resistance change of magnetic gears or toothed flywheels. When the speed measuring gear rotates, the magnetic flux in the probe coil changes periodically, generating an induced electromotive force that is approximately a sine wave, and its frequency is proportional to the speed.
- Output characteristics: The signal amplitude increases with the increase of speed, and can reach more than 500mV at 30r/min (test conditions: modulus 2 gear, gap 1mm).
- Anti-interference: It can work stably in harsh environments such as smoke, oil and gas, with large output signal and strong anti-interference ability.
Installation and commissioning
1. Gap adjustment: Use a feeler gauge to ensure that the gap between the probe and the gear is 0.7~1.2mm. Usually, it can be retracted one turn after screwing it to the bottom.
2. Wiring check:
- The magnetoresistive sensor needs to measure the output line resistance (normally about 260Ω) to determine whether it is damaged.
- The shielded wire only needs to be grounded at one end to avoid signal interference.
3. Signal verification: The AC voltage is measured by a multimeter. It is about 1V at idle speed and increases with the increase of speed.
Application field
- Power plant: Monitor the speed of steam turbines and gas turbines to prevent overspeed accidents.
- Petrochemical: Used for health management of rotating equipment such as compressors and pumps.
- Aerospace: Suitable for high-precision speed measurement scenarios such as aircraft engines.
Troubleshooting and maintenance
1. Speed fluctuation:
- Check if the terminal is loose or the cable is damaged.
- Eliminate interference sources such as nearby welding machines.
2. Signal abnormality:
- Clean the dirt on the probe and gear surface and adjust the installation gap.
- Measure the coil resistance (normal range 150~650Ω) to determine whether it is damaged.
3. Long-term maintenance: Check the grounding status regularly to avoid false connection due to moisture and rust.
Speed probe DF6101-000-065-01-05-00-00 has become the preferred solution in the field of industrial speed measurement due to its passive design, high anti-interference and wide temperature adaptability. Correct installation and regular maintenance can significantly improve equipment reliability and provide guarantee for safe operation of the unit.
