The CS-3F-M16-L100 speed sensor can not only measure the speed of high-speed rotating steam turbines, but also be used to measure low speed feedwater pumps. Another important function of it is to measure the reverse rotation of the feedwater pump, effectively preventing operational accidents.
The feed pump reverse speed sensor CS-3F-M16-L100 utilizes the Hall effect to measure the speed of rotating equipment. When the feed pump is in forward rotation, the CS-3F sensor will detect changes in the magnetic field generated by the rotating equipment through a magnetic field sensing element and convert these changes into electrical signals. These electrical signals, after amplification and processing, can be used to measure and monitor the pump speed.
When the feed water pump is reversed, the CS-3F sensor can still detect changes in the magnetic field, but due to the opposite direction, the magnetic field sensing element will generate different electrical signals. By detecting these reverse electrical signals, the sensor can determine the reverse state of the pump.
CS-3F rotational speed sensors usually transmit the detected electrical signals to control systems or the rotation speed meters for further processing and display. The control system can take appropriate measures based on the reverse information provided by sensors, such as alarming, stopping pump operation, or adjusting operating parameters.
