1. Heat exchange of outer spiral tube
• High-temperature steam-water samples from power plant boilers enter the inner spiral tube. At the same time, cooling water spirals along the outer spiral tube in the cylinder. The outer spiral tube exchanges heat with the spiral cooling water. When the cooling water flows along the outer spiral tube, it continuously absorbs the heat emitted by the high-temperature steam-water sample in the inner spiral tube. Due to the fluidity of the cooling water, the heat can be continuously transferred from the sample to the cooling water.
2. Enhanced heat exchange of the inner spiral tube
• At the same time, the steam-water sample in the inner spiral tube is in the cooling water environment with vortex motion in the cylinder, and undergoes additional heat exchange. The vortex motion of the cooling water increases the contact area and heat transfer efficiency between the steam-water sample in the inner spiral tube and the cooling water. This simultaneous cooling method of the inner and outer spiral tubes cleverly utilizes the cooling space and greatly increases the overall heat exchange area.
3. Temperature reduction effect
• Through this efficient heat exchange mechanism, the high-temperature (usually above 200°C) steam-water sample collected from the boiler sampling port can be quickly cooled to below 40°C. For example, during normal operation, when the inlet water temperature is a certain value and the flow rate is sufficient, the outlet water temperature can be stably maintained in a low temperature range that meets the sampling and testing requirements, meeting the accuracy and safety requirements of the power plant for steam-water sampling and testing.
II. Precautions for the use of TR-3 coolers in steam-water sampling and cooling of power plant boilers
1. When connecting the high-temperature steam-water sampling pipeline and the cooling water inlet and outlet pipelines, ensure the tightness of the connection. Use high-quality sealing materials and connection methods, such as appropriate sealing gaskets, to prevent sample leakage or cooling water infiltration. And the pipeline should be installed according to the design requirements to ensure the slope and support of the pipeline to avoid water accumulation or stress concentration in the pipeline.
2. Cooling water volume management: Strictly control the cooling water volume as required. If the cooling water flow is too low, the cooling efficiency will decrease and the steam-water sample will not be fully cooled. In general, a certain flow range should be guaranteed, and the cooling water supply system should be checked regularly to ensure that there is no blockage or leakage that affects the flow. For example, the flow rate of cooling water can be monitored in real time by installing a flow monitoring device.
3. Prevent corrosion: If electrochemical corrosion occurs on the water side, you can install an anti-electrochemical zinc rod at the designated position (in the reserved hole) of the inlet and outlet water cover. At the same time, when selecting cooler materials, corrosion resistance should be fully considered. For example, the inner spiral sampling tube and the outer spiral sampling tube are made of corrosion-resistant materials.
4. Cleaning cycle and method
After long-term operation, the surface of the cooler tube wall may gradually accumulate scale, affecting the heat exchange performance. Therefore, regular cleaning is required. Generally, internal inspection and cleaning should be carried out every 5-10 months. When cleaning the water side, clean water can be used to quickly rinse the inner wall of the front cover, the rear cover and the inner surface of the heat exchange tube with a hose, and then clean it with cleaning and washing, and finally blow it dry with compressed air. The oil side can be cleaned with trichloroethylene solution. The solution pressure is not more than 0.6MPa, and the flow direction of the solution is preferably opposite to the oil flow direction of the cooler. After cleaning, pour clean water into the cooler to clean until the clean water flows out; the immersion method can also be used. Pour the solution into the cooler and soak it for 15-20 minutes, then check the color of the solution. If it is turbid, replace it with a new solution and soak it again, and finally rinse it with clean water (if carbon tetrachloride is used for cleaning, it should be done in a well-ventilated environment to avoid poisoning). After cleaning, a hydraulic test or 0.7MPa air pressure test should be carried out instead, and it can be put back into use only after passing the test.
