Mechanical trip valve F3DG5S2-062A-50-DFZK-V is an important equipment in the mechanical trip system of steam turbines. The mechanical overspeed trip system is a flying hammer type mechanical overspeed protection mechanism, which is different from the electronic overspeed trip system. It is not affected by the ETS shutdown signal and can directly trip the turbine.

The mechanical trip system roughly includes the low-pressure safety oil supply system, emergency trip device, overspeed trip mechanism, overspeed trip valve reset device, overspeed trip mechanism calibration device, and other main parts.

The low-pressure safety oil supply system borrows the high-pressure oil source output from the main lubricating oil pump of the unit, and forms safety oil pressure through throttling and pressure reducing, as well as pressure stabilization by the overflow valve.

When the mechanical overspeed mechanism has already tripped the steam turbine unit and needs to be reset, it is necessary to manually push the manual trip handle to the “reset” position and hold it for a while. This handle drives the trip reset link, causing the trip reset lever to rotate counterclockwise to push the hook, driving the emergency trip valve to move left, and re sealing the oil drain port of the mechanical overspeed and manual trip main pipes. Raise the oil pressure in the upper part of the diaphragm valve, establish the AST oil pressure in the lower part of the diaphragm valve, and reset the unit. It is also possible to remotely reset the solenoid valve and reset the cylinder in the centralized control room to achieve remote locking.
